How to install Google Earth in Ubuntu 8.10

1. Open Terminal
[Applications] > [Accessories] > Terminal

2. enter the following in the terminal prompt
wget http://dl.google.com/earth/client/current/GoogleEarthLinux.bin
This command will download the binary file for google earth.


3. enter the next command
sh GoogleEarthLinux.bin

A popup box will prompt you for the installation directory. Click Next and the installer will then proceed to install google earth.
