Piggyback

I was able to find an unsecured wifi signal within the vicinity of my room. Yeah!

The connection is using BayanDSL. It isn't as fast as what I have in the office or my previous DSL connection, but it's a lot better than dial up, and definitely better than nothing.

Looking for the sweet spot was really hard. Signals fluctuate and I even tried different orientation of the netbook I'm using just to get a decent signal. A few inch of difference in location could make the signal intermittent. Ping reply of DNS server jumped from three digits to two digits. Now its stable at 15-50ms.

Since this is not mine, I'm going to impose a few rules upon myself for piggybacking.

1. Connect only when needed.
2. Don't hog the bandwidth. Never download anything large.
3. If the wifi router is accessible, don't change the settings.

Cheers!
